Tricuspid stenosis is a rare diastolic murmur usually found in conjunction with other murmurs or underlying heart disease. It is typically of a lower frequency, heard at LLSB @ 4th ICS, harsh and rumbling. Etiologies include rheumatic heart disease, carcinoid tumors, IE, iatrogenic (radiation, fibrosis from pacemaker lead), etc. Intervention is reserved for severe stenosis with symptoms; it may include valve surgery (valve repair or replacement) or percutaneous balloon valvotomy.
