Conduct disorder is a disruptive behavior disorder in patients younger than 18 years old defined by violation of the rights of others. It is more common in males. It is associated with environmental, genetic, social, and psychological factors. Per the DSM-V, the behavior has to last more than 1 year and can include: aggression towards people/animals, destruction of property, theft, rule violation, etc. Treatment is CBT, social skills program, and anti-psychotic or mood stabilizers in those with severe aggression. Those with conduct disorder are at an increased risk of developing antisocial personality disorder.
