A Lisfranc injury is a tarsometatarsal fracture-dislocation defined by disruption between the base of the 2nd metatarsal and articulation of the medial cuneiform. MOI is usually MVAs, falls, and athletic injuries. Clinical features include severe mid-foot pain, inability to bear the weight of the impacted foot, ecchymosis, swelling, and tenderness. Diagnosis is made with an x-ray. Treatment is usually either ORIF or arthrodesis.
