A. Appearance of 2 urethral openings
B. Abnormal penile curvature
C. Abnormal foreskin
D. Urethral orifice on dorsal side
E. None of the above

Answer and topic summary

The answer is D. Urethral orifice on the dorsal side

Hypospadias is a congenital malformation in which the external urethral meatus is an incorrect position. It happens because the foreskin and urethral folds do not fuse on the ventral penis. Clinical features include abnormal foreskin (dorsal hood), ventral penile curvature, and the appearance of two urethral openings. It is a clinical diagnosis. Severe cases need surgery. Patients should be referred to a pediatric urologist.
