The answer is E. 48-year-old female who had flu symptoms 6 days ago

Influenza is a negative-strand RNA virus of the orthomyxovirus family transmitted by respiratory droplets. It usually occurs in the winter months. Clinical features include fever, chills, malaise, headache, cough, and sore throat. Treatment is mainly supportive therapy. Antiviral agents should be given to pregnant patients, those with are at high risk of complications (ideally within the first 48 hours of symptoms), or those with severe illness requiring hospitalization (regardless of symptom duration). Antibiotics should be given if a superimposed bacterial infection is suspected. An annual influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone over 6 months old (as long as there are no contraindications).
