The answer is C. At least once between ages 3 and 5
Amblyopia (aka “lazy eye”) is a condition in which the brain fails to process sensory input from one eye, leading to the favoring of the other eye over time. It can lead to decreased vision. Clinical features include a “wandering eye,” poor depth perception, double vision, etc. The USPSTF recommends vision screening at least once in all children aged 3 to 5 years to detect amblyopia or its risk factors. Treatment includes patching of the good eye and correcting any refraction error as well.
